How long will it take to charge my 36V trolling motor battery?
Charging time depends on battery capacity and starting state of charge. Because this charger outputs 15A, divide your battery amp-hour capacity by 15 for a rough estimate. A fully depleted 36V 50Ah battery takes about 3.3 to 3.5 hours, while a 36V 100Ah battery takes about 6.7 to 7 hours before normal charge-taper and balancing time.
Is it safe to leave this charger plugged in after the battery is full?
This is an intelligent LiFePO4 charger with overcharge, overvoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, short-circuit, and reverse-polarity protection. It is designed to protect the battery during normal charging, but you should still follow Epoch's charging and storage guidance for long-term unattended use.
Can I use this charger for a 36V lead-acid or AGM battery?
No. This charger is intended for 36V lithium iron phosphate batteries. Its LiFePO4 charge profile is designed for lithium voltage requirements and should not be used on traditional lead-acid, AGM, or gel batteries.
What happens if I accidentally hook the cables up backward?
The charger includes reverse polarity protection. If the positive and negative leads are connected incorrectly, the protection circuit is designed to prevent output and help protect the charger and battery from damage.
Can I use this charger on three 12V lithium batteries wired in series?
This charger is optimized for a dedicated 36V LiFePO4 battery. If you use three separate 12V lithium batteries wired in series, a multi-bank 12V lithium marine charger is usually preferred so each 12V battery can be individually charged and balanced.

Warranty Period
2-year limited warranty on Epoch-branded chargers (Epoch general warranty terms)
Epoch Batteries-branded products are covered against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period, subject to Epoch's model-specific remedy schedule and the terms of its warranty policy. Epoch-branded chargers carry a 2-year limited warranty and accessories (such as fuel gauges and voltage reducers) a 1-year limited warranty, from the original purchase date.
Registration
Register your battery with Epoch within 90 days of purchase for full warranty coverage. If it is not registered within that time, the warranty period begins from the battery's original manufacturing date. Proof of ownership is required for any claim, and coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Remedy
After inspection and testing, Epoch will provide the applicable remedy for a qualifying manufacturing defect: an approved repair, a replacement, or a comparable-product offer according to the model's schedule. Typical repair turnaround is 3–10 business days once the product is received.
Exclusions
Coverage may be denied when a failure is caused by misuse, improper handling, installation or storage, or use outside the product's specifications. Examples include an unsecured battery; loose, corroded or improperly connected terminals; series or parallel connections beyond the manufacturer's recommendations; reverse polarity or short circuits; impact, fire or water submersion; storage above 140°F or below -40°F; prolonged storage fully discharged or batteries left uncharged for more than three months; poor crimps, undersized cables or damaged wiring; opened, modified or tampered products; and use in applications the battery was not designed for, including repeated engine starting on non-cranking models.
Obtaining Warranty Service
Start a claim through the Epoch Batteries Warranty Portal with your model and serial number, proof of purchase, a description of the issue and supporting photos or videos. If approved, Epoch provides an RMA number and packing instructions. Do not ship a product without a valid RMA. Shipping is typically through freight carriers and the actual shipping time is contingent on your location and the specific warehouse dispatching your order. Please allow for a 1-3 business day processing period before shipment, and an estimated delivery time of up to 7 business days. Your confirmation email will include delivery details and we will send you a tracking number as soon as one is available. If you ordered several separate items, you may receive multiple tracking numbers. Once the item has been shipped, the freight service will contact you to coordinate the date and time of delivery. If you require any special accommodations during delivery please let us know as soon as possible and let the delivery company know when arranging the appointment.
Typically, orders will be dropped off either curbside or outside your front door or garage. It is your responsibility to bring the order inside or to its final destination and to remove any existing items.
Depending on the item, parts may be shipped in multiple boxes, and assembly may be required. When your order is delivered, please check that you have all pieces of the item and that nothing is damaged. If your order is damaged during transit and external damage is visible, note the damage immediately, write it on the delivery documents, take photos and/or videos, and refuse shipment. If there is no visible external damage, accept the package but note “subject to concealed damage” on the delivery documents.
