The Epoch 12V 100Ah Eco Series is a value-focused Group 24 LiFePO4 battery built for RV, marine, solar, trolling motor and backup power upgrades.
It replaces heavy, high-maintenance lead-acid batteries with a 21 lb lithium battery that stores 1.28kWh of deep-cycle energy (nominal, at 12.8V), with smart BMS protection, low-temperature charge protection, IP54 splash-resistant durability, 4,500+ cycle life and a 6-year manufacturer warranty. It has no Bluetooth or internal heating, which keeps it simple.
Key Features
-
12V 100Ah Eco Series LiFePO4 (1.28kWh): A 12.8V nominal, 100Ah deep-cycle battery that stores 1.28kWh (1,280Wh, nominal) in a BCI Group 24 case, for RV, marine house power, solar, trolling motor and backup systems. It is a Group 24 drop-in for many installations, but not a drop-in replacement for every lead-acid one: check tray fit, terminal clearance, cable size, overcurrent protection and charger profile first.
-
Group 24 size, 21 lb: 10-1/4 x 6-3/4 x 9 in (260 x 171 x 229 mm) and 21 lb (9.5kg). It fits standard Group 24 trays and boxes, and Epoch offers a matching tray for the 12105A-H and 12100-ECO.
-
100A continuous output: 100A maximum continuous discharge and 300A for up to 5 seconds, for start-up surges only; keep the combined continuous load at or below 100A (about 1,280W of inverter DC input). Deep-cycle only: not cranking-rated, so not for engine starting.
-
Charging: 100A maximum continuous charge current from all sources combined, up to 50A recommended, and 14.2V-14.4V bulk/absorption. Use a 12V LiFePO4 charge profile, such as the Epoch 12V 15A Lithium Battery Charger; a smaller charger simply takes longer.
-
Low-temperature charge protection: No internal heating. The BMS blocks charging below 0°C (32°F) to protect the cells, and the battery can still discharge down to -20°C (-4°F). Charge only between 0°C and 55°C (32°F to 131°F).
-
Smart BMS (20+ safety features): Protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit, and high and low temperature, with a high-temperature reconnect at 50°C (122°F). It does not replace a correctly sized fuse or DC-rated breaker near the positive terminal.
-
No Bluetooth: Monitor it with an external shunt-based battery monitor or system display; voltage alone is not a precise state-of-charge reading on LiFePO4.
-
IP54 rated: Dust-protected and splash-resistant for everyday mobile, RV, marine and outdoor use. Not waterproof or submersible: do not submerge or pressure-wash it, or install it where standing water can collect.
-
Expandable: Up to 4 matched 12100-ECO batteries in series (24V, 36V or 48V system classes) and up to 16 in parallel (1,600Ah, 20.48kWh at 12V); the largest bank is 4S16P (64 batteries: 51.2V, 1,600Ah, 81.92kWh).
-
4,500+ cycle life and low maintenance: No watering, acid service or routine lead-acid maintenance; routine inspections and terminal checks (8-12 Nm) keep it safe.
-
6-year manufacturer warranty: Register within 90 days of purchase for full warranty coverage.
Key Benefits
-
IP54 splash and dust resistant: Protected against limited dust ingress and water splashes. Not waterproof or submersible.
-
4,500+ cycle life: Over 12 years at one full cycle a day. Rated at the depth of discharge, charge rate and temperature stated on the datasheet, to its end-of-life capacity.
-
Advanced BMS protection: Guards against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent and short circuit.
-
LiFePO4 thermal stability: Lithium iron phosphate has a far lower thermal-runaway risk than other lithium chemistries. The BMS adds over-temperature and low-temperature charge protection.

The perfect drop-in upgrade: core features
A practical 12V lithium upgrade for RV, marine and off-grid owners who want less weight, less maintenance and better usable energy.
-
True Group 24 sizing: This Group 24 drop-in measures 10-1/4 in L x 6-3/4 in W x 9 in H (260 x 171 x 229 mm) and fits standard Group 24 trays and battery boxes. It is not a drop-in replacement for every lead-acid installation: check tray fit, lid clearance, terminal clearance, cable size, overcurrent protection and charger profile before you install it.
-
Ultra-lightweight: just 21 lb: This 21 lb (9.5 kg) lithium battery is far easier to lift and install than a comparable lead-acid battery. Reducing battery weight can improve trailer tongue weight, boat balance and general serviceability.
-
Smart BMS with low-temp cutoff: The built-in smart BMS includes 20+ safety features and low-temperature charge protection that blocks charging below 0°C (32°F) to help prevent cell damage. There is no internal heater, so charge only between 0°C and 55°C (32°F and 131°F).
-
IP54 splash and dust resistance: The IP54 enclosure is dust-protected and splash-resistant for many everyday mobile, RV, marine and outdoor installations. It is not waterproof and not designed for submersion, pressure washing, bilge flooding or continuous water exposure.

Affordable 12V solar battery, Group 24 RV battery upgrade, lightweight marine house battery and 12V trolling motor lithium battery applications.
Reliable power and deep scalability
Eco Series value with real deep-cycle output and scalable lithium storage.
-
Connect up to 4 in series or 16 in parallel: DIYers can build 24V, 36V or 48V-class systems with up to 4 batteries in series, or increase 12V amp-hour capacity with up to 16 batteries in parallel for up to 20.48kWh.
-
100A continuous discharge (300A peak): The 100A continuous discharge rating supports everyday 12V loads and inverters whose DC input current stays within 100A (about 1,280W of DC input at 12.8V; usable AC output is lower). The 300A rating covers start-up surges of up to 5 seconds only; any load that lasts longer must stay at or below 100A.
-
4,500+ cycles and 6-year manufacturer warranty: Eco means accessible, not disposable. LiFePO4 chemistry delivers long cycle life, flat voltage output, fast charging capability and maintenance-free operation compared with traditional lead-acid batteries.
Deep-cycle battery notice
This Eco Series model is designed for deep-cycle storage and auxiliary power. It is not a cranking battery and has no Bluetooth or internal heating. Keep continuous loads at or below 100A; 300A is a 5-second peak only. Do not charge it below 0°C (32°F). For engine starting, use a cranking-rated lithium battery or confirm compatibility directly with Epoch before installation.

Will this battery fit in my existing battery box?
In most standard Group 24 trays and boxes, yes. The Epoch 12V 100Ah Eco Series is a Group 24 drop-in measuring 10-1/4 in L x 6-3/4 in W x 9 in H (260 x 171 x 229 mm), and Epoch offers a matching battery tray for the 12105A-H and 12100-ECO. It is not a drop-in replacement for every lead-acid installation, so always verify tray dimensions, lid clearance, the hold-down, cable and terminal clearance, cable size, fuse sizing and charger settings before installation.
Does the Eco Series have built-in heating for winter use?
No. The Eco Series does not include internal heating pads, but it does include low-temperature charge protection. The smart BMS blocks charging below 0°C (32°F) to help protect the lithium cells from damage, and the battery can still discharge power in temperatures as low as -4°F / -20°C. Charge only between 0°C and 55°C (32°F and 131°F): move a cold battery somewhere warmer and let it stabilize before charging, and never bypass the protection.
Can I connect these batteries together to build a 24V or 36V system?
Yes. The 12100-ECO supports up to 4 batteries in series for 24V, 36V or 48V-class systems and up to 16 batteries in parallel for expanded capacity; the largest bank is 4S16P (64 batteries: 51.2V, 1,600Ah, 81.92kWh). Use matched batteries of the same model, age, capacity and state of charge, fully charge each one before connecting it, and use charging equipment rated for the full bank voltage, fusing, disconnects and properly sized cabling.
Can I use this battery to start my boat or vehicle engine?
No. This is a dedicated deep-cycle battery. It is engineered for prolonged, steady power in applications such as RV house systems, trolling motors, solar storage, marine electronics and auxiliary 12V loads. It is not designed to provide the instantaneous cold-cranking amps required to start gas or diesel engines.
Do I need a special charger for this lithium battery?
Use a charger, converter, inverter charger, solar controller or DC-to-DC charger with a dedicated LiFePO4 charge profile, such as the Epoch 12V 15A Lithium Battery Charger. Epoch lists 14.2V-14.4V bulk/absorption, ending when the current falls to C/20 (5A) or after 15 minutes, float off (preferred) or 13.3V-13.6V, 13.2V re-bulk, a 14.6V BMS high-voltage cutoff, equalization disabled and temperature compensation disabled. Charge at up to 50A (recommended) and never more than 100A from all sources combined. Avoid lead-acid chargers with desulfation or equalization modes.
Does this battery have Bluetooth monitoring?
No. The Eco Series does not include Bluetooth or app connectivity. To track state of charge, use an external shunt-based battery monitor or a system display; voltage alone is not a precise state-of-charge reading on LiFePO4. By omitting premium features such as Bluetooth and internal heating, the Eco Series delivers safe LiFePO4 chemistry, smart BMS protection and 4,500+ cycle life at a more accessible level. For Bluetooth monitoring, compare Epoch Essential, Pro or Elite Series options.
How long will this battery last compared to my old lead-acid battery?
The Epoch 12V 100Ah Eco Series is rated for 4,500+ cycles. Depending on usage, charging habits, depth of discharge, temperature and storage conditions, this LiFePO4 battery can significantly outlast traditional lead-acid batteries while eliminating watering and acid maintenance. Routine inspections and terminal checks still apply.

To confirm that date, register the product with Epoch within 90 days of purchase or keep your proof of purchase (an invoice or receipt showing the product, purchase date and seller). If you can provide neither, coverage starts on the manufacturing date recorded for the product's serial number. A repaired or replacement product is covered for the rest of the original warranty period.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only. It does not cover damage or failure caused by installation, wiring or system design that doesn't follow the manual (including undersized or damaged cables, poor crimps, loose or corroded connections and incorrect fusing); reverse polarity, short circuits or faults in the connected electrical system; series or parallel connections beyond the manual's limits, or mixing batteries of different models, capacities, ages or states of charge; a product not secured as the manual requires; charging outside the manual's voltage, current or temperature limits; discharge above the rated current, or engine starting with a battery not listed as a starting or dual-purpose battery; over-discharge, storage fully discharged, or storage for more than 3 months without recharging; accidents, impact, fire, flood, power surges, submersion or exposure beyond the product's IP rating; opening, modification or repair by anyone other than Epoch or an Epoch-authorized provider; removed or altered serial numbers; normal capacity loss and wear consistent with age and use; or cosmetic damage that doesn't affect performance. Using chargers and other equipment from other brands does not affect coverage by itself.
Obtaining Warranty Service
Start a claim through the Epoch Warranty Portal before the warranty period ends, with the model, serial number, proof of purchase or registration, a description of the problem and any photos, videos or app screenshots. If the claim qualifies, Epoch issues an RMA number with packing and shipping instructions; do not ship a product without an RMA. Epoch inspects and tests the product, typically within 3–10 business days after it arrives, and then repairs or replaces it, or makes the discount offer where applicable.
Shipping
You pay to ship the battery to Epoch; Epoch pays to ship an approved warranty repair or free replacement back to you. For discount replacements you pay shipping on the replacement battery. Packaging must follow the RMA instructions (lithium batteries are regulated hazardous materials in transport).
Visit Epoch's Warranty Page to review the complete warranty terms (effective October 17, 2026).
