GC2 is a common golf cart battery case size used by many 6V and 8V lead-acid golf cart batteries. The Epoch 48V 30Ah GC2 lithium battery is engineered in a GC2-style footprint, so it can fit many factory golf cart battery trays without custom fabrication. Always confirm your tray dimensions, cable clearance, hold-downs, charger, and controller requirements before installation.
Is a single 48V 30Ah battery enough for my golf cart?
A single 48V 30Ah battery can power a compatible 48V golf cart for light, short-distance use. For typical 18-hole use, neighborhood driving, hills, passenger loads, or upgraded controllers, many owners install two, three, or four batteries in parallel to create 60Ah, 90Ah, or 120Ah of total capacity.
Can I connect multiple 48V 30Ah GC2 batteries together?
Yes. This battery supports parallel expansion only, with up to 10 batteries in parallel for a maximum 48V 300Ah battery bank. Series wiring is not supported, so do not connect these batteries in series to increase voltage.
Do I need a specific charger for this 48V GC2 battery?
Yes. Use a dedicated 48V LiFePO4-compatible charger. The battery has a 57.6V maximum charge voltage and a 30A maximum charge current. Avoid old lead-acid chargers with desulfation or equalization modes unless they can be programmed to safe LiFePO4 settings.
Can I mix this lithium GC2 battery with existing lead-acid batteries?
No. Do not mix lithium and lead-acid batteries in the same battery bank. They use different voltage curves, charging profiles, and internal resistance characteristics. Remove the existing lead-acid bank and build a matched 48V lithium system using batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge.
Does this 48V 30Ah GC2 battery support app or Bluetooth monitoring?

Epoch Batteries-branded products are covered against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period, subject to Epoch's model-specific remedy schedule and the terms of its warranty policy. Epoch-branded chargers carry a 2-year limited warranty and accessories (such as fuel gauges and voltage reducers) a 1-year limited warranty, from the original purchase date.
Registration
Register your battery with Epoch within 90 days of purchase for full warranty coverage. If it is not registered within that time, the warranty period begins from the battery's original manufacturing date. Proof of ownership is required for any claim, and coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Remedy
After inspection and testing, Epoch will provide the applicable remedy for a qualifying manufacturing defect: an approved repair, a replacement, or a comparable-product offer according to the model's schedule. Typical repair turnaround is 3–10 business days once the product is received.
Exclusions
Coverage may be denied when a failure is caused by misuse, improper handling, installation or storage, or use outside the product's specifications. Examples include an unsecured battery; loose, corroded or improperly connected terminals; series or parallel connections beyond the manufacturer's recommendations; reverse polarity or short circuits; impact, fire or water submersion; storage above 140°F or below -40°F; prolonged storage fully discharged or batteries left uncharged for more than three months; poor crimps, undersized cables or damaged wiring; opened, modified or tampered products; and use in applications the battery was not designed for, including repeated engine starting on non-cranking models.
Obtaining Warranty Service
Start a claim through the Epoch Batteries Warranty Portal with your model and serial number, proof of purchase, a description of the issue and supporting photos or videos. If approved, Epoch provides an RMA number and packing instructions. Do not ship a product without a valid RMA. Shipping is typically through freight carriers and the actual shipping time is contingent on your location and the specific warehouse dispatching your order. Please allow for a 1-3 business day processing period before shipment, and an estimated delivery time of up to 7 business days. Your confirmation email will include delivery details and we will send you a tracking number as soon as one is available. If you ordered several separate items, you may receive multiple tracking numbers. Once the item has been shipped, the freight service will contact you to coordinate the date and time of delivery. Typically, orders will be dropped off either curbside or outside your front door or garage. It is your responsibility to bring the order inside or to its final destination and to remove any existing items.
Depending on the item, parts may be shipped in multiple boxes, and assembly may be required. If your order is damaged during transit and external damage is visible, note the damage immediately, write it on the delivery documents, take photos and/or videos, and refuse shipment.
