First Factor - Size: Our UT 1300 BT lithium iron phosphate 105Ah/1,344Wh/150A battery, is a standard 24 size, smaller than typical group 27 or 31 AGM / lead acid. This means that you may be able to fit an extra battery in your battery box!

Second Factor - Weight: traditional lead acid batteries often weigh more than 50lbs. Our lithium batteries weigh 23 lbs. or less. When you travel or have to lift the battery, that extra weight makes a big difference.

Third Factor - Usage: With the UT 1300 BT you camp 2x longer than using lead acid batteries because you can use all the energy stored in our battery compared to only being able to use about 50% in a lead acid battery. You can also use the UT 1300 BT on its side, end, or even upside down because there's no acid to worry about spilling out or emitting toxic fumes.
So, one lithium battery is basically equal to two AGM/lead acid batteries as far as everyday usage. The average price for two AGM/lead acid batteries is going to be about $500 to $600 and they don't last nearly as long so you'll have to replace them every 3-5 years. For example, an AGM/lead acid battery is limited to 200 -500 times, depending on how well it is taken care of and regulary maintained. Our LifePO4 batteries have 3500+ cycles. That is approximately 8X the life cycles. Our Safari UT battery series comes with our own proprietary BMS that will protect your battery from harm. It's like having a person body guard for your battery.
The Safari UT series all have an internal Battery Managment System (BMS) that acts as a safety net to shut down the battery if it out of parameters. This prevents the battery from overcharging or discharging as well as operating outside of the temperature range.

Warranty Repairs/Replacements
For repair or replacement, contact customer service at 1-385-375-8191. Do not ship unit until you receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from customer service at Lion Energy. Lion Energy will not be responsible for any shipping or handling damage.
Limited Warranty
This warranty for the unit is extended to the original purchaser or user, and it covers defects in materials and workmanship. The Safari UT 1300 BT has a limited lifetime warranty on the battery cells, rated at 80% of the capacity (105Ah x .8 = 84Ah).
Under extreme use (maximum charge and discharge rates) the battery cells expected life cycle is 3500. At "normal usage" the expected life cycles will be greater.
This warranty is invalidated if any of the following occurs, but not limited to:
- Failure to follow the instructions in the User's Manual.
- Accidental damage, unreasonable use, misuse, or overloading. Excludes normal wear and tear.
- Extended storage without recharging or repairs done by an unauthorized person or modification.
- Opening or modifying the battery casing.
This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Lion Energy will not be liable for consequential or incidental damages. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Lion Energy could void the user's authority to operate this device.

Shipping is typically through freight carriers and the actual shipping time is contingent on your location and the specific warehouse dispatching your order. Please allow for a 1-3 business day processing period before shipment, and an estimated delivery time of up to 7 business days. Your confirmation email will include delivery details and we will send you a tracking number as soon as one is available. If you ordered several separate items, you may receive multiple tracking numbers. Once the item has been shipped, the freight service will contact you to coordinate the date and time of delivery. If you require any special accommodations during delivery please let us know as soon as possible and let the delivery company know when arranging the appointment.
Typically, orders will be dropped off either curbside or outside your front door or garage. It is your responsibility to bring the order inside or to its final destination and to remove any existing items.
Depending on the item, parts may be shipped in multiple boxes, and assembly may be required. When your order is delivered, please check that you have all pieces of the item and that nothing is damaged. If your order is damaged during transit and external damage is visible, note the damage immediately, write it on the delivery documents, take photos and/or videos, and refuse shipment. If there is no visible external damage, accept the package but note “subject to concealed damage” on the delivery documents. Any damage upon delivery needs to be reported within 24 hours of delivery or you may not be eligible for a refund.
