What's Included
- (1) PowerHouse Lithium 16V 18Ah Deep Cycle Battery (Wide)
- (1) 16V 3A charger
Run Time
- Runs a Garmin 93SV and Livescope for over 11 hours.
12V vs 16V Efficiency (Amp Draw)
- Run your equipment about 20% longer on a separate, clean power system, with better clarity and signal returns on 16V.
- Switching to 16V has no effect on electronics warranties, as all listed units operate above 16 volts.
- To size a system, add up the total amps needed and divide by the battery's Ah rating.
- Add 20% more Ah capacity than needed for a 10-hour day or longer so the same battery still covers the load after 4 years of service.
- Less amp draw on 16V means less heat for your units to absorb, so they run cooler.
Suitable For:
- Livescope and other forward-facing sonar setups
- Kayak and small-boat electronics
- Ice fishing electronics
- Anglers who want a compact, lightweight 16V power source
Please Note: Requires a dedicated 16V LiFePO4 charger (a 16V 3A charger is included).
Please Note: Lowrance units (17V working voltage) cannot be powered while the battery is charging unless a 16V voltage regulator is installed; the Run and Gun charger requires the voltage regulator.
Please Note: Deep cycle battery; not intended for engine cranking.

How Much Battery Do You Need for Your Electronics?
Every fish finder, chartplotter and sonar unit draws a small, steady amount of current. Adding those numbers up tells you how much battery capacity (Ah) you need to run your electronics for a full day on the water.
Sizing Your Battery
- Add up the amp draw of every device you will run from the battery (see the chart below).
- Multiply that total by the number of hours you are usually on the water.
- Add 20% to the result. This extra capacity keeps the battery big enough for a 10-hour day or longer even after about 4 years of service.
Example (16V): two Humminbird Helix 10 units (2.16A each) plus a Garmin LiveScope (0.6A) draw 4.92A. Over a 10-hour day that is about 49Ah, and adding 20% brings it to about 59Ah, so a 16V 60Ah battery is the right fit.
12V vs 16V
The units listed below all operate above 16 volts, so running them on a 16V system has no effect on their warranty. On 16V they draw less current, which means roughly 20% longer run time from the same amp-hour rating, a separate clean power supply, better clarity and signal returns, and less heat for the units to absorb, so they run cooler. For example, a 16V 80Ah battery delivers similar run time to a 12V 100Ah battery.

What size wiring is needed to carry loads?
We suggest 10AWG to run from the batteries to the Perko switch and to the units. The battery install kit comes with four 6AWG battery cables to go to the Perko switch. If you choose to run main power to a separate fuse box, you only need 14AWG, as a 16V system carries the load much better than 12V and will not drop voltage, especially since you are running each device on a separate circuit to the fuse box. The fuse box eliminates the factory fuse holders that are impossible to get to if a problem occurs on the water. The system will also accept wiring harnesses from other suppliers.
Is 16V compatible with my graphs?
Yes. Humminbird's working voltage is 20 volts, Garmin's is 18 volts and Lowrance's is 17 volts. The working voltage on the battery is 16.4V, so Lowrance units cannot be turned on while charging unless you have the voltage regulator, which maintains a steady 16.4V to the equipment. The Run and Gun charger can only be run with a voltage regulator installed. This only applies to Lowrance units; all other brands can handle the higher voltage when using the charger.
What size 16V battery do I need?
Refer to the Amp Draw Specs table under the "16V draw" column for each of your graphs and transducers. Add these numbers for each graph and multiply that total by how many hours you spend on the water before recharging. This gives you the maximum total amps required. Then choose the appropriate size that fits your requirements (either 48Ah, 60Ah, 80Ah, or 100Ah). If your system requires it, you are able to wire batteries in parallel to meet your required demand. This works best when used with a built-in waterproof DC charger that charges the battery when the outboard is running.
Will 16V damage my graphs or void my warranty?
No. The short explanation is that 16V draws 20% less amperage. Amperage is what causes heat in your electronics, and heat is your electronics' number one enemy. You are already running 14.6V to your units while the engine is running on a fully charged battery, and the units are rated to run above the 16V limit.
Why choose 16V over 12V?
16V gives you a crisper, brighter image on your graphs. It does this while also giving you better returns from your transducer, which results in clearer side, down and forward imaging, letting you unlock the full potential of your graphs and become a better offshore angler. You may have already noticed that your console units look slightly better with the engine running at 14.6 volts than your bow units running at 12V; this is because of the increase in voltage. 16V is also 20% more efficient than 12V, meaning you will get longer run times than an equivalent amp-hour rated 12V battery. For example, a 16V 80Ah will get similar run time to a 12V 100Ah.

PowerHouse Lithium Limited Warranty
Warranty Period
3-year total warranty on deep cycle batteries up to 30Ah
Coverage
- Free repair or replacement any time within 24 months of the purchase date (exclusions apply).
- From year 2 to year 3, a replacement is offered at 25% off.
- Warranty items are subject to the cost of shipping from PowerHouse Lithium to your location. Warranty value is based on current MSRP.
Registration
Register your battery with PowerHouse Lithium within 90 days of purchase. If it is not registered within 90 days, the warranty period begins at the battery's manufacture date. Proof of ownership is required, and warranties are not transferable; this limited warranty applies to the original purchaser and to United States residents only.
Inspection and Service
A battery may need to be shipped to PowerHouse Lithium for inspection. If the inspection finds a manufacturing defect, the standard warranty process is followed at no charge. If the issue is caused by user error or misuse (for example, a dead battery from improper charging or not recharging a fully drained battery, over-tightened straps or terminal bolts, or loose connections that melt the terminals), a repair and shipping fee of up to $150 may apply. Have the battery's serial number ready when submitting a claim; it is on the side of the battery and in the PHL app.
Exclusions
The warranty does not cover water damage, impact or collision; physical damage to the battery case or mishandling; products that have been opened, modified or tampered with; tampering with or removal of manufacture date codes; or use in applications other than those the battery was designed for, or above its rated continuous current. It also does not cover a battery that has reached its normal end of life (2,000 cycles), which may occur before the end of the warranty period depending on use.
Obtaining Warranty Service
Submit a warranty claim through PowerHouse Lithium's warranty application. The product may need to be shipped back for inspection.
