The Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite is a premium 5.12kWh lithium battery built for serious 48V off-grid solar, marine, RV, and backup power systems. It combines a user-serviceable 250A Eaton Class T fuse, native Victron CAN communication, Bluetooth monitoring through the included battery gauge, internal heating and an IP67 enclosure (dust-tight; temporary immersion to 1 m for 30 min) in one rugged high-capacity LiFePO4 platform.
Key Features
-
48V 100Ah V2-T Elite Series LiFePO4 Battery (5.12kWh): 51.2V nominal, 100Ah and 5,120Wh (5.12kWh) of nominal stored energy in one case, for native 48V off-grid solar, marine, RV and backup power systems; plan runtime on about 4,096Wh. A deep-cycle battery for house power and energy storage, not engine starting.
-
User-Serviceable 250A Class T Fuse: A 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel improves source protection at the battery. It does not replace the main disconnect, downstream protection or cable sizing: install a DC-rated fuse or circuit breaker in the positive conductor, as close to the battery as practical.
-
Native VICTRON Communications: CAN bus at 500 kbit/s to a compatible Victron GX device (Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX or Cerbo GX Mk2). The battery reports its status, and with DVCC on it sets the charge voltage and current limits of Victron chargers. The communication harness is included; set the DIP switches and GX settings per the manual.
-
Elite Performance Specifications: 150A maximum continuous discharge, about 7,680W DC at 51.2V before inverter losses, and 300A for 30 seconds for surges. 100A maximum continuous charge from all sources combined, with up to 300A for 10 seconds. If an inverter's continuous DC input can exceed 150A, add batteries in parallel.
-
BLUETOOTH Monitoring: Bluetooth through the included battery gauge, which shows state of charge, voltage and current. The free Epoch Cloud app (iOS and Android) shows state of charge, voltage, current, temperature, cycles and alerts for each battery and the bank. A mountable external power button is included.
-
HEATED For Cold Climates: LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below 0°C (32°F). When the battery is too cold to accept charge, the BMS uses incoming charge current to power the internal heating pads first, then allows normal charging once the cells reach a safe temperature. Charging is supported down to -30°C (-22°F) ambient when charge current is available; discharge works down to -20°C (-4°F).
-
IP67 Rated Enclosure: Dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes, with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion: install it where it stays dry in normal use, with all harness connectors fully seated.
-
Dimensions & Fit: 20.86" L x 8.65" W x 12.06" H (529.8 x 219.8 x 306.3 mm; the height includes the terminal posts), 97 lb (approx. 44 kg). Lift with two people and install it upright. Replacing a Group 8D lead-acid battery? Confirm tray fit, hold-down and lid clearance first; the optional Epoch V2 & V2-T mounting bracket (8D, sold separately) fastens to the threaded inserts on the case.
-
Parallel Banks Only: Up to 16 batteries in parallel (1,600Ah, 81.92kWh), using matched C48100A-A batteries of the same age, capacity and state of charge, with the DIP switches set for the bank. The C48100A-A is a native 48V battery: do not connect it in series; series-parallel is not supported either.

Safety: the V2-T Class T fuse
Built for high-current 48V systems that need more than basic lithium storage.
The Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite Series LiFePO4 battery is engineered for advanced users who need a high-performance 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with smart protections, rugged construction, and ecosystem integration. With 5.12kWh of lithium storage, this V2-T Elite Series battery is an ideal foundation for 48V off-grid solar systems, marine house banks, RV inverter systems, and Victron-powered energy builds.
The major difference is protection and serviceability: the V2-T has a user-serviceable 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel, which improves source protection at the battery. A main fuse or DC-rated breaker close to the battery positive, a disconnect and correct cable sizing are still required.
User-serviceable, built-in Class-T fuse
The V2-T places a 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel, so a fuse that opens can be replaced without opening the case. It improves source protection at the battery but does not replace the main disconnect, correct downstream protection or cable sizing: install a DC-rated fuse or circuit breaker in the positive conductor as close to the battery as practical, and follow the electrical codes that apply (for boats and RVs, they limit the distance between the battery and the main fuse).
UL-certified components and advanced BMS
The built-in smart BMS helps protect against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuits, and temperature extremes. The cells are listed to UL 1642, UL 9540A and IEC 62619:2022, the internal fuse to UL 60691, and the battery meets UN 38.3 for transport.
IP67 dust-tight, immersion-rated casing
The IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion to 1 m for 30 minutes with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion, so install it where it stays dry in normal use.
Premium smart features and seamless integration
Victron CANBus, Bluetooth app data, and internal heating in one 48V Bluetooth lithium battery.
-
Native Victron integration via CANBus: Connect to compatible Victron GX devices for BMS communication, DVCC, alarms, SOC visibility, and coordinated system control.
-
Cold-weather ready internal self-heating: The BMS uses incoming charge current to warm the cells before charging in freezing conditions, supporting reliable winter operation.
-
Bluetooth app monitoring: Through the included battery gauge, the Epoch Cloud app shows state of charge, voltage, current, temperature, cycles and alerts, without a separate battery monitor.
-
All-battery dashboard support: Monitor large parallel banks from a single app dashboard when the system is configured with matching supported batteries.

300A peak output: A 300A 30-second peak discharge rating helps absorb short-duration surge events in compatible systems.
-
Parallel up to 16 batteries: Scale from one 5.12kWh battery to an 81.92kWh energy bank at 48V nominal using matched batteries in parallel.
-
Designed for long-term ROI: LiFePO4 chemistry, 3,500+ cycles, maintenance-free operation, and an 11-year limited warranty support years of daily service.
High-voltage installation notice
This battery is intended for properly designed 48V / 51.2V nominal systems. It is not an engine-starting battery and should not be wired in series. High-current DC systems should be installed by qualified personnel using correct conductors, disconnects, torque procedures, overcurrent protection, and battery communication setup.
Victron and charging setup note
Program all charge sources for a 48V LiFePO4 profile.
Program every charge source, Victron equipment included, to 56.8V bulk/absorption (at least 15 minutes per battery in the bank), 54.0V float, equalization disabled and temperature compensation disabled (0 mV/°C), with no more than 100A continuous per battery from all sources combined; never exceed 58.0V. Under Victron DVCC the battery sets these limits automatically, and the programmed values keep charging correct if CAN communication is lost. For Victron systems, set the DIP switches, connect the communication harness to the GX device (BMS-CAN, or VE.Can at 500 kbit/s), enable DVCC, and set Epoch as the controlling BMS and battery monitor.
Always follow the product label, current Epoch manual, charger documentation, and project-specific engineering requirements. The internal Class T fuse improves source protection, but it does not replace the main disconnect, correct downstream protection, cable sizing, or a complete system protection plan.
IP67 enclosure
Dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion.
The IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion: install the battery where it stays dry in normal use, away from standing water and spray, with all harness connectors fully seated.

Recommended Charging Settings
Program every charge source to these settings, including Victron equipment, so charging stays correct if CAN communication is lost:
- Charger type: Lithium (LiFePO4) compatible, CC/CV
- Bulk / absorption voltage: 56.8V
- Absorption time: at least 15 minutes per battery in the bank (for example, 60 minutes for four batteries)
- Float voltage: 54.0V
- Equalization: Disabled
- Temperature compensation: Disabled (0 mV/°C)
- Charge current: 100A per battery maximum continuous; size every charge source, and the total of all sources, to stay within it. Up to 300A is allowed for 10 seconds.
- Never charge above 58.0V, and do not use lead-acid equalization, desulfation or repair modes.
- Charging temperature: 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F) cell temperature; with self-heating, charging is supported from -30°C (-22°F) ambient when charge current is available. Below freezing the BMS uses incoming charge current to power the internal heating pads first, so expect a delay before the state of charge starts to rise.
- Solar charge controllers: use the same voltages; on a GX system with DVCC, Victron solar chargers follow the battery's limits.
- Alternators: use a DC-DC charger, or an alternator regulator set up for lithium, and follow the alternator manufacturer's guidance.
- Before first use: switch the battery on with the included external power button and charge it fully at these settings.
Victron GX setup
- Set the DIP switches on every battery (see the user manual).
- Fit the harness plug with the waterproof bung into the Master battery's blue port.
- For a bank, run an RJ45 cable from the Master's black port to Slave 1's blue port, then from Slave 1's black port to Slave 2's blue port, and so on, up to 16 batteries in parallel. Daisy-chain only: never use branch or tee connections.
- Plug the harness's grey RJ45 plug into the GX device's BMS-CAN port (Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX). On a Cerbo GX Mk2, use VE.Can 1 or VE.Can 2.
- If you use a VE.Can port, open Settings > Services > VE.Can on the GX device and set the port speed to 500 kbit/s.
- Switch on the batteries.
- On the GX device, turn on DVCC, set the controlling BMS to Epoch and set the battery monitor to Epoch.
- Check that the Epoch battery appears in the device list, that the number of modules online equals the number of batteries installed, and that the installed capacity (Ah) equals the bank capacity, for example 400Ah for four batteries.
- While charging (not while inverting), the inverter tile shows External control. Under DVCC the system charges to 56.8V, holds absorption for at least about 15 minutes per battery, then floats at 54.0V.
- Manually program the MultiPlus, Quattro and every other charge source to the settings above as a fallback.

What does V2-T mean and why is the built-in Class-T fuse important?
The V2-T has a user-serviceable 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel; the 48V 100Ah V2 Elite (model C48100A) has a built-in fuse instead and its own manual. The Class T fuse improves source protection at the battery, but it does not replace the main disconnect, correct downstream protection or cable sizing: install a DC-rated fuse or circuit breaker in the positive conductor as close to the battery as practical, and follow the codes that apply to the installation.
If the internal Class-T fuse blows, is the battery ruined?
No. The V2-T Elite Series is designed with a user-serviceable internal Class-T fuse. If a dead-short or severe fault opens the fuse, the fuse can be accessed through the sealed top service panel and replaced with the correct specified Class-T fuse after the system has been safely shut down and inspected by a qualified installer.
Does the 48V V2-T connect directly to my Victron system?
Yes. The Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite Series battery supports native CANBus communication for Victron systems. When connected to a compatible Victron GX device such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, the battery can provide BMS data for DVCC, state-of-charge reporting, alarms, and coordinated charging control.
What size 48V inverter can a single 48V 100Ah V2-T battery run?
A single Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T battery is rated for 150A continuous discharge and 300A for 30 seconds. At 51.2V, 150A is about 7,680W DC before inverter losses. To size an inverter, estimate its DC input current as AC load (W) ÷ (battery voltage × inverter efficiency): for example, a 2,000W load through a 90%-efficient inverter draws about 2,000 ÷ (51.2 × 0.90) ≈ 43A. If the inverter's continuous DC input can exceed 150A, add batteries in parallel so the current per battery stays within the rating.
Can I connect these 48V batteries in series to make a 96V system?
No. This 48V battery is designed for 48V / 51.2V nominal systems and should not be wired in series. It can be wired in parallel with matching batteries, up to 16 batteries total, to increase total capacity while staying at the same 48V nominal voltage.
How does the self-heating feature work in freezing conditions?
When the battery is too cold to safely accept a charge, the smart BMS protects the lithium cells and uses incoming charge current to power the internal heating pads first. Once the cells reach a safe charging temperature, the BMS allows normal charging to resume. This supports cold-weather charging down to -22°F / -30°C when external charge current is available.
Is the battery completely waterproof?
No. The IP67 rating means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion: install the battery where it stays dry in normal use, away from standing water and spray, with all harness connectors fully seated.

If your order is damaged during transit and external damage is visible, note the damage immediately, write it on the delivery documents, take photos and/or videos, and refuse shipment. If there is no visible external damage, accept the package but note “subject to concealed damage” on the delivery documents. Any damage upon delivery needs to be reported within 24 hours of delivery or you may not be eligible for a refund.
